There are actually five schools in the area of Kabul that need to be rebuilt. We are starting with two: the Yosef School and the Eight Class School. There are currently 260 girls and 295 boys enrolled in the elementary schools. They are expecting 250 more students to enroll for the 2008 school year that starts in March.  The girls go to the morning session and the boys go to the afternoon session because there are so many students. They are all hungry to learn. They are presently conducting classes outside and sitting on the ground. There is no playground or field to play sports, it is all dust and dirt.
